Our Story
For everyone carrying what no one else can see.
This started with a question I couldn't shake: what would it mean to wear something that actually understood?
Not a slogan. Not pain repackaged as product. Something honest — clothing made for the people who keep showing up when no one would blame them for stopping. Caretakers running on no sleep. First responders carrying the calls that don't leave. Veterans whose wars didn't end at discharge. Parents holding families together with both hands. Anyone walking through grief, depression, or the quiet weight of just keeping going.
Forged by Grit and Grace exists for them. For you.
Why this brand exists
I'm Justin — I write under the pen name J. Vaelorin. By day I'm a network engineer in Indiana. By night, I build the things I needed when I was younger and couldn't find them.
My depression started in high school, after my family learned my grandmother had stage four cancer. It was my first real loss, and I didn't know how to carry it. I thought being strong meant being silent. That therapy wouldn't help. That no one would understand.
The years got quieter. The music and words that used to keep me alive started to fade. Those were the stretches I don't talk about much — the ones a lot of you already understand without me explaining.
What I needed back then was simple: something that said I see what you're carrying. You're not weak for feeling this. You're not alone.
I couldn't find it. So I'm building it.
What FBGG is
Forged by Grit and Grace is the apparel side of a larger project. The creative side lives at VaelorinVerse — a dark fantasy universe where the same themes get explored through story and myth. FBGG is the everyday side. Wearable. Tangible. Made for the days you need a reminder.
Every design is made for someone specific. The caretaker no one's checked on in months. The first responder carrying names no one else remembers. The veteran whose service was real even when it goes unacknowledged. The parent, the partner, the survivor. The person who keeps walking.
You're not too much. You're not too broken. You're forged.
The promise
This is a one-person operation, self-funded, built in evenings and weekends because it matters. Every order is real — printed when you order it, packed with care. Every dollar goes back into building more: more designs, more stories, more ways for people who carry invisible weight to feel seen.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for wearing this.
You belong here.
